7 HoursThis course provides a foundational understanding of the core concepts behind Power Virtual Agents, Power Automate, and Power Apps, with a high-level introduction to Power BI. The curriculum is centred on a practical workflow inspired by a manual process I previously managed for an employer. We will build a Power App using Microsoft Power Apps to track construction tasks for new homes (with data stored on SharePoint for simplicity). We will then leverage Power Virtual Agents to demonstrate how to enable bots within Microsoft Teams to guide users to documents scattered across various SharePoint sites, such as loan documents, budgets, and sales contracts. These bots are particularly valuable for HR and IT teams in managing repetitive queries. I will also show you how to configure simple flows in Power Automate to archive attachments from specific senders (in our scenario, bank inspection reports) and to save data from Microsoft Forms to SharePoint. Additionally, we will establish fully automated approval processes using the Approvals app within Microsoft Teams. Upon completing the app, bot, and flow, the final phase involves creating a straightforward Power BI report. We will use Power Automate to send a snapshot of the table containing the latest completed tasks every two weeks to a designated recipient (the bank in this example), requesting a drawdown with the completion dates and budget figures for those tasks (all collected via the app). Please note that this course maintains a high-level perspective. I recommend all learners use ChatGPT for more technical aspects, such as coding or formulas in Power Apps. However, the course covers this by demonstrating how to effectively use ChatGPT to assist with Power Apps formulas.
